Cows and Farm Fall Engagement Session Inspiration

Fall engagement session with cows in Alberta

As a born and raised farm girl, I love when my clients are also! It means that we can use certain animals as “props”, and they are usually more than happy to be included!

For Lane and Sarah’s engagement session, there was no question that their cows were to be included. So just before sunset one fall evening, we headed out in the side by side to the pasture.

A farm engagement session can be so much fun! The cows were super curious about what was going on, and came in to the pictures within a few moments notice. The only hazard of working in the cow pasture is avoiding all of the cow patties hanging around.

When doing the ring shot, one particular cow was super interested, and might’ve even considered taking a lick at it! No worries though, the ring was never in danger.

Why You Should Include Your Animals in Your Engagement Session

Whether it’s cows, horses, dogs, sheep, you name it, if they’re in your life, you should include them in your session. Domestic animals are naturally curious, and are usually a lot of fun to include in your photos! They can help with movement and interaction between you and your partner, and you might even forget that I am there taking photos of you! It’s also a great way to keep your pets’ memory alive.

If your wanting farm engagement photos, trust that I know what I am doing around the farm, and how to work around cows. So if you are looking for a photographer for your farm engagement photos, I’m your photographer!

Farm Engagement Photo Album and Slipcase

Lane and Sarah chose to have their photos printed in a beautiful, one of a kind album for them to cherish. These albums are all custom designed and hand built, and are certainly something you for you to keep.

When I mentioned we could add a couple extra pages for making the album into a guest signing book, they thought that was a great idea! So we added 3 extra spreads for their guests to sign when their wedding comes.

Design Details:
