I had the pleasure of photographing this beautiful wedding here in the fall of 2023, and the venue was stunning! There is plenty of beautiful options for your wedding photos, and I could’ve spent hours just taking shots around the property.

They have an outdoor ceremony space surrounded by trees, which in the fall is golden and beautiful, and a cozy wood barn reception area. The entire place is surrounded by fields with rolling hills, which are stunning at all times of the year.

If you have guests coming from afar, or just want to have a place for them to crash for the night or the weekend, Aspen Country Hills also offers on site accommodation, including a farmhouse, RV/trailer parking, and bell tents. They have many amenities, and if the style fits your idea of a dream wedding I highly recommend checking them out. The owners are great people as well, and committed to making your wedding come to life!

Evyn and Mhairi’s Wedding Day

Looking over Mhairi and Evyn’s wedding day may not feel like they got married in Alberta, but that’s because they brought a whole lot of Mhairi’s Scottich heritage to the wedding! From the bagpipes at the beginning and ending of the ceremony, to the kilts on the groom and groomsmen and even the officiant, to drinking a dram of whisky from the quaich.
There was lots of other personal touches as well, including the handmade sign that Evyn and Mhairi worked on together, and Mhairi chose to have her dog walk her down the aisle.

Combine all that with a bunch of friends and family, and beautiful venue, and perfect fall weather, you couldn’t ask for much more!
